Course overview

This self-paced online course introduces supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. It covers characteristics, challenges, and strengths, emphasizing person-centered approaches, communication, positive behavior support, advocacy, and inclusion within the Canadian support framework. This program does not require approval by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills. As such, the registrar did not review this program.
